    collection of vintage Speedball Pens
This was a happy discovery at the flea market today. The helpful vendor wasn’t sure what year this set was from, but we both agreed it was impressive to have all tip styles still in place. I tried to get a little more information and the man told me this “Complete Assortment of Speedball Pens,” (along with even more unique items) are from the collection of a 93-year-old man that worked as a draftsman.
The back of the box has the price 39 cents written in marker. Two of the sides have printed text that reads: “Hunt’s SPEEDBALL Card (24 Pens) Item No. 30 P507.” Another side of the box has the words “Draw Points” written by hand multiple times.
But, I think the design of the Speedball logo will help pinpoint the date of this specific card. Please leave a note (or comment on flickr) if you have any additional history or insight on dates to share.
