Mid-Century Modern Rest Stops
This two-year-old post on The Mid-Century Modernist has become a gathering place for these historically significant public designs, like those of the WPA, that remain uncredited, and often unappreciated, by America’s administrators. Rather than maintain them, many are being replaced with banal, uninteresting structures. Have a favorite rest area shelter? Submit it! Let’s archive these beauties for posterity.
