The pancake lens is impossibly thin, measuring in at .36 inches—just enough room for a manual focus ring, and that’s about it. The K-01 uses the standard K-mount so it’s compatible with every lens Pentax has made over the years. Removing the viewfinder and the mirror from the equation also gave Newson more creative flexibility…”

I usually shy away from bright yellow fashion accessories or gadgets. But, this new Pentax K-01 designed by Marc Newson, makes it to my too pricey wishlist.

Finland honors “the golden age of plastics” with the fourth stamp in The Antiques series. The release date for the new stamp is September 13th, 2010.

“60’s and early 70’s was the period when in the Nordic countries the main material for the innovative design products was plastic. Furnitures and even clothes were maid of different kind of plastic. Graphic designer Pekka Piippo has fitted this all in one stamp - a chair, a telephone, wall paper, Hifi Stereo by Salora, Go-go boots and the Palaset -shelf unit by Ristomatti Ratia.” —Posti

The MoMA redesigns their website after 5 years with a wider format. Breaking free of the left navigation the Museum of Modern Art’s site now uses a footer nav to get around the site. Another addition is the new bookmarking option for those who want to register and share pages with others. You can see the old site design here.

The overall experience is a big step forward especially for casual viewers who might not get the chance to visit the museum’s shows and collections in person.
