Artist Liu Bolin, has his body meticulously painted and photographed, creating the illusion of disappearing into various surroundings. The Beijing based photographer has a solo exhibition on view at the Eli Klein Fine Art gallery in NYC through August 28th, 2011. The Invisible Man show “continues his exploration of Chinese national identity and the relationship between human beings and the environment…”
But, Liu Bolin may also be spotted around the city, interacting with the New York landscape. In the video above (shared by Wooster Collective), Liu Bolin blends into a Kenny Scharf mural as part of a new live performance piece.

“A unique collection of iconic Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chairs, as re-imagined by some of today’s most celebrated graffiti and street artists, will be featured in Barneys New York windows…and auctioned online May 11th through June 1st.”

MTA Greed poster, calling attention to “The New MTA: State of Decay” site
It took me a few seconds to notice that this MTA service poster was a spoof.
“Fake subway service alert posters that take jabs at the MTA’s plans to cut service are no laughing matter, the agency said Tuesday. The orange posters replicate the NYC Transit signs down to the Helvetica font and “GREED” typed out in circular train letters…” —“MTA not amused by spoof service announcement posters” via AMNY
