I’m always amazed when a designer is able to pull off cover designs sans titles and author names on the front. I think this is a lovely and refreshing looking series.

Above is an example of Michael Surtees’ notes from the sold-out talk at the NYPL last week between Shepard Fairey, Lawrence Lessig, and Steven Johnson. In his blog post, Michael Surtees notes that the dialogue during Remix: Making Art and Commerce Thrive in the Hybrid Economy failed to give much attention to opposing points of view. Disapponting. Both sides here have plenty of relevance to today’s artists and designers, especially students. (via DesignNotes)
I had to rewind to double check I heard this right. I’m really curious to see her designs but haven’t had any luck finding samples online.

UK book publisher Mills & Boon launches protest against Virgin’s kissing ban (via Brand Republic) The image above is one of a series of bold posters with catchy slogans, such as ” Kissoff Kissing Killjoys,” or “Why So Frigid Virgin?”
